Today I planted several black pine trees, which I bought at a street stall on Ozosan. Ozosan is the shortened form of the word "Ojizosan", which means the days connected to "Jizo-bosatsu".
It is said that there will be special returns to the prayers offered on these days at temples. We usually call Jizo-bosatsu Ojizosan friendly. Jizo-bosatsu is a kind of god and is thought to relieve all living things in the world, from when Buddha has died until Miroku-bosatsu appears.
When I looked up, there were many many stars in the sky. I know only the Orion and Sirius but I don't know many other stars, though I think they have their own names.
It was very cold today and I may have caught a cold.
It didn't snow today, though it snowed yesterday. It will be cold by tomorrow, TV news say. I hope it will be warm soon.
