Today is Hachijuhachiya(八十八夜) which means eighty-eighth day from Risshun(立春), the setting-in of spring (about Feb.4) .
This is the time when ｆarmers are busy with tea-picking and working in the fields and the day when spring is over and summer has come and is considered a good (or lucky) day.
